At last some rain...!
Our newly installed hydrometric monitoring system, deployed across the National Trust’s Holnicote Estate in North Somerset has finally sprung into life following the recent rainfall.
The network has been installed as part of the four-year Defra Multi-Objective Flood Management Demonstration Project, which aims to characterise current hydrology and flood risk in the Aller and Horner catchments and detect changes in these due to catchment land management changes and flood mitigation schemes to be implemented over the next couple of years.
