BES Women in Ecology Mentoring Scheme

PAA’s Associate Director Dr Sarah Ross has this year been accepted as a mentor on The British Ecological society (BES) Women in Ecology Mentoring Scheme, which aims to encourage women to stay in ecology, by providing them with a safe and confidential environment to develop their career as a professional ecologist.

BES has been running the scheme since 2009 in response to the poor representation of women at senior levels of ecology professions. As a company that recognises the great benefits of having a diverse staff structure across all levels of our business, senior PAA staff are in an ideal position to pass on information and advice to women looking to a career as a professional ecologist.

Sarah will be mentoring a student currently studying Ecology at York University. For more information on the BES Mentoring Scheme, please visit the BES website: www.britishecologicalsociety.org/bes-mentoring-scheme/
