The Fen Management Handbook – Publication of a New Guidance Document

Penny Anderson Associates Ltd were invited to contribute to the preparation of text for The Fen Habitat Management Handbook, specifically sections on nutrient enrichment, its effects on fen habitats and how enrichment issues can be managed.

The handbook is designed to be used by anyone involved in fen management and, along with dealing with management issues such as nutrient enrichment, also provides information on fen creation or restoration. It combines practical advice and guidance with clear information on fen ecology and functioning.

For more information on PAA’s involvement in the project please contact Dr Sarah Ross (sarah.ross@pennyanderson.com).

Scottish Natural Heritage has recently published this handbook and it can be downloaded as a PDF or purchased from Here
